Photovoltaic module electrical performance testing
Electrical performance testing is to calibrate the output power of solar cells, test their output characteristics, and determine the quality level of photovoltaic modules. The output power of solar photovoltaic modules is a direct function of module temperature and irradiance level. By measuring the values of performance parameters of solar photovoltaic modules under different irradiance and temperatures, the performance of solar photovoltaic modules can be evaluated.
● Short-circuit current: When the positive and negative poles of the photovoltaic module are short-circuited, the current at this time is the short-circuit current of the module, which changes with the change of light intensity.
● Open circuit voltage: When the positive and negative poles of the photovoltaic module are not connected to a load, the voltage between the positive and negative poles of the module is the open circuit voltage, which changes with the increase or decrease in the number of cells in series. The open circuit voltage of a module with 36 cells in series is about 21 .
● Optimal working voltage: Also called peak voltage, it refers to the working voltage when solar cells output maximum power. It changes with the increase or decrease of the number of cells in series. The optimal working voltage of a module with 36 cells in series is 17~17.5 about.
● Maximum power: also called peak power, refers to the maximum output power of photovoltaic modules under normal working or testing conditions. Power depends on solar irradiance, solar spectral distribution and the operating temperature of the module. Therefore, the test of photovoltaic modules must be carried out under standard conditions. The measurement standards are irradiance, spectrum, and test temperature of 25°C.

The quality of bypass diodes directly affects the power generation of photovoltaic power stations.
